ERROR ANALYSIS IN USING ENGLISH NOMINAL AND VERBAL SENTENCES

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate: 1) the types of errors in nominal and verbal tenses, 2) the factor affecting of making errors. This research applied qualitative approach in analyzing the finding of the research. The data were taken from the students’ answer of the final examination. The result of the research show that the students had omission, mis-formation, and addition. It was also found that they had reasons in making the errors. The factor affecting the errors can be classified into psychological and cognitive factors such as because of stress feeling, forgetful, and level of comprehension.
